The grass is not greener; it’s just more dangerous.

The marijuana cigarets being sold today are neither plants nor medicine, but are addictive drugs with harmful, life-changing side effects, by way of THC, its psychoactive compotent. In the hippy dippy 1960s the THC content of what was then called grass was negligible. Nowadays it is upwards of 30 percent, and even higher in edible products-gummies, cookies, and so on. Because THC is toxic to the heart, elevates the heart rate, causes impaired memory, hallucinations, and dramatic changes in mood it should be scrupulously avoided. Politicians and community leaders should be at the forefront of the effort to discourage marijuana use . Instead major politicians and heads of businesses are encouraging its consumption. Why? There is a clear money motive. But the beneficiaries will not be local communities but greedy, amoral investors and their mercenary partners in the political system. Wait!…An unholy alliance between politicians and thoroughgoing greed heads? ..why, I’ve never heard of such a thing.
